These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TradeJournal at backtesting-journalmytrades.com ("Service"), operated by TradeJournal ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

TradeJournal is a free trading journal platform that allows users to log trades, analyse performance, track psychology, and engage with a community of traders. The Service is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any feature at any time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use TradeJournal. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
• You may not create an account on behalf of someone else without their permission.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the trade data, notes, and ideas you post on TradeJournal. By posting content to the community section (trade ideas, comments), you grant TradeJournal a non-exclusive licence to display that content to other users of the platform.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. You agree not to post content that is false, misleading, defamatory, illegal, or that constitutes investment advice presented as guaranteed returns.

5. Not Financial Advice

TradeJournal is a record-keeping and analysis tool. Nothing on this platform — including trade ideas posted by other users, AI-generated summaries, or performance statistics — constitutes financial or investment advice. Trading financial instruments involves significant risk of loss. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions.

6. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or our systems
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service
• Post spam, promotional content, or unsolicited advertisements in the community
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Upload malicious code or content that disrupts the Service

7. Intellectual Property

The TradeJournal name, logo, and all platform software are the property of TradeJournal and may not be used without our written permission. The platform's source code is proprietary. Blog content published on the site is copyright TradeJournal unless otherwise noted.

8. Advertising

The Service displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. By using the Service you acknowledge that you may see advertising.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that trade data calculations will be free from inaccuracies. Always verify P&L figures against your broker's official statements.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TradeJournal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any trading losses you incur. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, for free accounts, is zero).

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
